I've actually worked on 3 different versions of the x1 tv box although they look a little different than yours. The UART was disabled on all of those and I'd imagine it's the same here. Instead, id focus on dumping the flash. The versions I looked at all had 16g eMMC flash chips sitting under one of those shields, I imagine it's the same here.
