DBG, is a curated and more landscaped display of desert plants. It is much faster to tour and involves less time to see so you are only committing about 2 hours or so. It has a great butterfly exhibit. DBG requires a timed entrance that needs to be reserved so you need to plan around it. It is pretty crowded.
